About
Born: Hobart 1984

Wendy Busch is a visual artist based in Naarm (Melbourne).  Her practice includes painting, installation and sculpture.   Wendy’s work is an exploration of self-perception, and she is interested in varying viewpoints of the self and one’s place within the world.  She uses contrast in her work to explore feelings of alienation and psychological tension involved in human subjectivity.
Wendy holds a Master of Fine Arts (RMIT University) and a Bachelor of Fine Art and Visual Culture (Curtin University).  She has been awarded Making Space Residency at Siteworks with Moreland City Council, Bayside City Council Residency at Billilla, Moreart Public Art Show commission, and has had solo exhibitions at West End Art Space, Alternating Current Artspace and Red Gallery, Victoria.

Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
I respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land. Melbourne has always been a significant gathering place for the groups of the Kulin Nation, and I acknowledge and respect their continuing connection with the land
